Shirt Factory Heritage - Private Walking Tour
A heritage trail of the locations of the old factory buildings in the city where we explore the history of this important industry in our city, while also telling stories of the famed factory girls (and boys) who played such an important role in the city's history.
This tour will cover many of the sites which display the Shirt Factory Workers Plaques unveiled by the Friends of the Factories in solidarity with the Derry Trades Union Council in 2021.
The tour normally lasts for 2 hours and starts and finishes at the Visit Derry Visitor Information Centre in Waterloo Place.
It is hoped in the future to offer this tour as a longer half-day experience that will include visits to relevant locations and a themed refreshment stop - more info to follow.
